This week’s makeover features a dresser rescued from the alleys of Evanston near student housing.
Materials:
The chest in its found state
A custom mix of orange paint
and 3 sheets of this printed paper.
The paper is pieced to fit the length on the drawers. I was listening to Obama’s speech while applying it, got distracted, used too much glue, so I’ll go back and fix these before sealing with polyurethane.

I love it, I love it! Paper Source is great: go to their Georgetown store in D.C. whenever I’m there…(and then lunch at Pain Quoitidien!) And you finished it so quickly…Really, it’s great.

Love the colors and so happy to have stumbled upon your blog from apartment therapy! I’m a fine diver as well and love to redo old pieces, but man do I suck at taking the before picture. Somehow I always forget. Great Job!

Love it! I make have to do something like this with a small trunk I bought. Do you just polyurethane right over the paper?

Depending on the paper – some are handprint, some have coatings – you may be able to poly over it. Be sure to do a test patch before you glue the paper on the chest.

i love it! i use paper source as well and they’re great…do you have pice of the inside of the drawers? i’m curious how the entire makeover looks. and thanks to Apartment Therapy for sending my to your blog!
